Aerobic and Anaerobic Septic Systems
A large percentage of homes in Texas are serviced by private septic systems. We highly recommend the evaluation of these systems.
Septic inspections for aerobic systems include:
- Evaluation of the control cabinet as well as visible electrical components.
- Operability and condition of the system’s aerator.
- The condition of the visible portions of the septic tanks and recommendations for pumping the tank system.
- The condition of the septic system’s absorption area.
- Observations of the system’s proximity to water wells or other sensitive areas.
- We conduct a stress test by introducing large amounts of water into the system while the operation of the system is under observation.
Septic inspections for anaerobic systems include:
- The condition of the visible portions of the septic tanks and recommendations for pumping the tank system.
- The condition of the septic system’s absorption area.
- Observations of the system’s proximity to water wells or other sensitive areas.
- We also conduct a stress test by introducing large amounts of water into the system while the operation of the system is under observation.
Water Well
Clients purchasing homes served by a water well should certainly have the well inspected. Paragon’s well inspection includes the evaluation of the following:
- Condition and elevation of the well’s casing and associated above-ground piping
- Assessment of the system’s pressure tank
- Inspection of the well’s visible electrical system and related pressure switches
- Observations of the system’s performance through a stress test. We cycle the well’s pump on and off multiple times and then remove large quantities of water from the well.
- If desired, a water quality test can be performed. This includes taking a sample from the well and sending it to a Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) approved lab, where it is tested for the presence of Coliforms and E. coli.
I was very satisfied with the inspectors professionalism, and attention to detail. His report was concise and very easy to follow and understand, it was very through. The inspector took time to go over the results with me on the phone and explain each of the items inspected. Will definitely recommend your company to others that may need an inspector. – David Picon
